As we cut through the New Millenium, we trace back our triumphs in show competition, when we brought in to our kennel Galan von der Urbecke Korklasse 1 SchH3. Galan when imported was rated V-43 GHKLR BREMEN HZSCH 1994 . On our own, we campaigned Galan to new heights as Phil. Grand Champion, Landesgruppen Sieger, Best of Breed, Best in Herding Group, and Philippine Centennial Awardee for the German Shepherd Dog (an award given probably once in a 100 years). We achieved all these mostly, at the twilight of his career at 7 years old. We may attribute our successes to our friends in Germany. They have been very generous to share with us Galan and a host of quality dogs from their Kennels. Their wonderful ideas, guidance, and expertise to uplift the breed standards of our dogs we so much love and enjoy--the German Shepherd Dog. Hence, Kennel vom Glaserball adheres to the principle Mr. Friedrich Stenner and Ms. Gudrun S. Link have stood by--BEAUTY, DEPENDABILITY, AND UTILITY!
Our KENNEL VOM GLASERBALL, which is based in the Philippines, has been much inspired by the successes of the German Kennel "von der Urbecke". For this reason, we have founded our Kennel mostly on the von der Urbecke quality bloodlines. To date, no other kennel in the Philippines has been more successful than those who have chosen the "von der Urbecke" as a foundation stock.
Earlier on Kennel vom Glaserball has bred successfully and campaigned Axel vom Glaserball. Axel is a V-5 (excellent) rated dog awarded in 1997 by German SV-Judge Herr Bertold Wieneke at the German Shepherd Dog Federation of the Philippines' National Sieger Show at Fort Bonifacio. Axel continued to win as Vize-Sieger title in a Landesgruppen Show and has been chosen many times SG-1 as a young dog. He is one of the few Philippine born dogs that figured very prominently against highly rated dogs imported from Germany, Europe and USA.
Our recent successes continued on with Eunice vom Glaserball when she garnered consecutive V-2 (Vize-Siegerin) titles and V-3 Ratings in GSDF and NLGSDA Landesgruppen Show. She was the only local born female to slice into the top GSD V ratings amongst rated imports from Germany. It is typical for Eunice to get a top V rating alongside a Best Philippine born award. Although she was first pick by many SV-Judges in the several GSDF National Sieger shows she joined including that of Denmark SV-Mr Svend Erick Lundquist Nov.2-3, 2002 at the Philippine Sports Stadium (Ultra), Eunice still managed to hang on to V-5. This is quite an achievement for us when Germany's V-12 HZSCH 2000 rated import trailed her at V-6 as another Glaserball, Hana, (Eunice's daughter) inched at her tail at V-8.
Backed by proven quality bloodlines and a formidable foundation stock, we are challenged to improve litters of puppies we produce. Also, guided with a strong conviction to succeed, we shall always consider our track record in shows as the measurement of our excellence in producing the German Shepherd Dogs under Kennel vom Glaserball. Understandably, when better German Shepherds are bred, Kennel vom Glaserball will breed them. This is our fine element!
